  • RESERVATION: Reserve Maidu facility for campfire pack meeting
  • RESERVATION: Ensure that Webelos 1 dens register for Camporee
  • FINANCIAL: Ask Treasurer to transfer scout accounts monies to Boy Scout Troops for boys that crossed over
  • ACTIVITY READINESS: Confirm date and time of Scouting for food on Council calendar
  • ACTIVITY READINESS: Ensure someone hosts a derby garage for new Tiger Scout families
  • ACTIVITY READINESS: Need to collect deposits for Resident Camp (typically $50 per person)
  • RECOGNITION: Recognize outgoing Webelos Den leaders

February

  • COMMUNICATION: Send out communication to families explaining Friends of Scouting program
  • ACTIVITY READINESS: Select neighborhood around Diamond Creek Elementary for Scouting For Food (done at Round Table)

March

  • ACTIVITY READINESS: Continue collecting payments for Twilight Camp and Resident Camp

April

  • RECRUITING: Solicit families via Pack email blast to see who has an incoming 1st grader in the fall
  • THANK YOU: Ask Sunshine Coordinator to purchase gifts for Roseville Public schools, Blue Oaks Storage, and Legends
  • ACTIVITY READINESS: Find a photographer for the Graduation pack meeting
  • ACTIVITY READINESS: Final Resident Camp payment due
  • RESERVATION: Reserve Mahany Park or Wake Island for Raingutter Regatta

May

  • ACTIVITY READINESS: Ask 4th of July activity coordinator to submit Official Entry Application to City of Roseville (deadline June 1st) 
  • COMMITTEE: Prepare and share draft pack meeting calendar for the following pack year.
  • RESERVATION: Reserve Diamond Creek Elementary for pack meetings and Pinewood derby (including Friday night setup)
  • ​RESERVATION: Remind den leaders to reserve school facilities for den meetings
  • COMMUNICATION: Send email blast thanking all den leaders for service throughout the year

June

  • AWARDS: Start Summertime activity tracking (what scouts attend which events)
  • AWARDS: Write nomination for Unit Leader Award for outgoing Cubmaster
  • AWARDS: Write nomination for Den Leader Training Award for any Webelos II den leaders
  • FINANCIAL: Request final scout account balances from Treasurer
  • FINANCIAL: Request final accounting from Treasurer for scout year (income statement, balance sheet
  • ACTIVITY READINESS: Summer camp coordinator should hold Park Day meeting to prep families for camp
  • POPCORN: Popcorn Kernel Training (need two people to attend, usually near Sacramento State)

July

  • TRAINING - Ask Training Coordinator to follow-up with any leaders whose Youth Protection Forms will expire before January 1st
  • RESERVATION - Reserve location for Annual Planning Meeting
  • COMMITTEE - Prepare draft calendar for scout year
  • COMMITTEE - Prepare draft budget for scout year
  • ACTIVITY READINESS - Purchase Raingutter Regatta Boats and distribute to den leaders
  • COMMUNICATION - Perform annual updates to website (check for current content)
  • POPCORN: Online commitment cards due (indicates how much the pack wants to purchase)

August

  •  COMMITTEE- Host annual planning meeting (recommend 4 hours)
    • TRAINING - Promote Wood-badge Training
    • TRAINING - Promote BALOO Training
    • QUALITY - Review Journey to excellence scorecard
  • RECRUITING - Contact PTC at Blue Oaks to reserve a spot at the Back To School Night
  • RECRUITING - Contact Diamond Oaks PTC to reserve a spot at the Ice Cream Social (1st night of school)
  • RECRUITING - Contact Fiddyment Farms PTC to reserve a spot at their back to school event
  • RECRUITING - Contact Quail Glenn Elementary PTC to reserve a spot at their back to school event
  • AWARDS - Complete Summertime pack award and submit to district
  • AWARDS - Provide awards chair with Summertime pin achievements for all scouts
  • MEDIA - Put together a Summertime pack video for September pack meeting (optional)
  • RESERVATION: Ask Sacramento King's activity coordinator to contact group ticketing and select a night

September

  • AWARDS - Awards Summertime pins to scouts
  • AWARDS - Provide awards chair with Service Stars achievements for all scouts and leaders
  • COMMITTEE - Ask den leaders to collect Medical Forms and Youth Protection from families
  • RECRUITING - Host New Parent Orientation (recommend two days after Round Up Pack meeting)
    • Collect registration packages

    • Collect t-shirt sizes

  • ACTIVITY READINESS - Request den baskets for Spaghetti Feed
  • FINANCIAL - Collect dues from all returning families (set deadline for pack meeting, hard deadline should be November 1st)
  • RECHARTER Pick up recharter paperwork and access code at District Round Table
  • RECHARTER - Complete recharter package
    • Complete Journey To Excellence Scorecard
    • Requires signature from Chartered Organization Representative
    • Requires application and signature form Executive Officer of Chartered Organization (YPT not required)
  • RESERVATION: Ask bell ringing activity coordinator to schedule date and location with Salvation Army (recommend 1st wkd of December)​
  • POPCORN - Collect monies for all show and sell popcorn.    Take returns of unsold show and sell popcorn

November

  • RECHARTER -Turn in recharter paperwork at District Round Table or alternative turn-in night
  • FINANCIAL - Ask Treasurer to transfer scout account monies into general account for scouts that didn't re-register
  • RESERVATION - Register pack for Camp Lassen Summer Camp
  • POPCORN - Distribute Take-Home popcorn at the November pack meeting
  • POPCORN - Make final payment to council for popcorn (deadline is typically 1st week of December

December

  • AWARDS - Nominate (2) adult leaders for district awards
  • RESERVATION - Ask snow day coordinator to book snow day at group rate
  • PURCHASE - Purchase and pass out Pinewood Derby Cars at December Pack Meeting
  • CROSSOVER - Notify Troops which need to attend Crossover ceremony
  • TRAINING - Promote attendance at University of Scouting
  • COMMUNICATION: Send out message highlighting spring/summer schedule (make sure to include Twilight/Resident Camp Dates)
  • SUNSHINE COORDINATOR: Purchase thank you awards for outgoing Cubmaster and outgoing Committee Chair
  • POPCORN - Distribute Popcorn prizes at December pack meeting
  • POPCORN - Fund scout accounts with Popcorn sales earnings and email parents
